To the Stars and Back by Camilla Isley #Review #Giveaway

I am delighted to feature Camilla Isley's latest romcom To the Stars and Back on the blog today. I also have a great giveaway for you- details on how to enter are at the foot of this post!

When Hollywood’s sexiest bachelor meets the girl next door their relationship doesn’t follow the script…

On-screen, Christian Slade is America’s favorite heartthrob. Off-screen, letting romance into his life isn’t as easy. The women he dates all seem to want a piece of his glamorous life rather than his heart, and trust doesn’t come easy for him.

Then along comes Lana. A beautiful rocket scientist who’s also sweet, smart, sexy, and has absolutely no idea who he is. But what will happen when she finds out?

Will their worlds prove too far apart or could love really be like in the movies?

My Thoughts

This was one of those romcoms which you just relax into and let the story take you over. I found the main characters of Christian and Lana to be very sympathetic and enjoyed finding out what happened to them as the story progressed. For me, this story is pure escapism with its setting out in California and with Christian's vocation being that of heart-throb filmstar!

Getting the perspectives of both Lana and Christian is always refreshing and gives insight into their characters. Lana is a breath of fresh air. She goes against the stereotypical picture of the female and is an independent scientist with no interest whatsoever in celebrity lifestyle. This is a super read which has lighthearted moments as any good romcom should have.

In short: A scientist meets a filmstar - romance has to follow!

About the Author

Camilla is an engineer turned writer after she quit her job to follow her husband on an adventure abroad.

She’s a cat lover, coffee addict, and shoe hoarder. Besides writing, she loves reading—duh!—cooking, watching bad TV, and going to the movies—popcorn, please. She’s a bit of a foodie, nothing too serious. A keen traveler, Camilla knows mosquitoes play a role in the ecosystem, and she doesn’t want to starve all those frog princes out there, but she could really live without them.
