Christmas Reunion in Paris by Liz Fielding #Review #ChristmasattheHarringtonParkHotelBook One

Today we have a true romance, Christmas Reunion in Paris by Liz Fielding, which was published on September 3rd.

Parisian reunion

With the one that got away!

Celebrity chef James Harrington never expected to find himself face-to-face with Chloe, his first love, again… Especially, with her working as a chambermaid at his luxury hotel! Their chemistry’s as strong as ever, but she’s hiding a secret. Can James convince Chloe that their love is worth taking a chance on – again?

 My Thoughts

This romance is the first in a trilogy of books which are in the Harrington Park Hotel series. Centred around James and Chloe, the story starts with their chance meeting in Paris. As you discover, they share a history and this becomes a 'will they, won't they? second chance story. It features some beautiful parts of Paris and further afield. You get a sense of the Paris the tourists see. Although James and Chloe have a glamorous background, they seem down to earth and hard working.

Despite its title, this is one of those books which is set near Christmas but is not overly festive. It is very much concentrated on James and Chloe's family background. Chloe, in particular, develops as a character and has to face some demons from her past. It is an enjoyable, light romance which is great to while away a wintry weekend.

In short: Second Chances.
