The Teacher's Noble Heart by Susanne Dunlap #Review #DoubleDilemmaBook5 #PublicationDay

Susanne Dunlap's Regency novel, The Teacher's Noble Heart is an addition to her double dilemma series. You can read my reviews of  others here:  The Dressmaker's Secret Earl   |   The Sopranos Daring Duke   |   The Falconer's Lost Baron   In Regency Cornwall, governess Miss Wilkins has always survived by being sensible, capable, and self-reliant. When she dares to take a bold step toward independence, she has no intention of complicating her life—or her heart. Her encounters with James Pentarrant, the steadfast captain of the Delabole slate quarry, are marked less by romance than by spirited disagreement. A Merry Little Christmas by Rosie Green #review #LittleDuckpondBook43

We are now up to Book 43 in the Little Duck Pond Cafe series! A Merry Little Christmas  is the latest novella by Rosie Green.

Festive excitement is in the air, the tree is sparkling on the village green and Christmas music is making even the most hardened cynic feel a little sentimental – but one Little Duck Pond Café favourite is feeling anything but romantic! Is this destined to be a festive season best forgotten? Or could Katja’s dream of a merry little Christmas possibly end up coming true?

 My Thoughts

We are back in Sunnybrook with some familiar faces. This festive story is centred on Katya who has been working to overcome the effects os a previous relationship and the feelings of rejection she experienced at its break up. Caleb, her latest boyfriend is not behaving towards her as he used to and she feels a growing distance between them. Just as she feels sje can trust Caleb, he starts to behave out of character. Added to that, she is unsure about his latest PA at work and generally is feeling insecure.

There is a mystery at the heart of the story which has to be unravelled to give Katya the answers she is looking for. Alongside this, we have life in Sunnybrook continuing as Christmas grows nearer and the friends all work together and help each other out.

In short: gorgeous festive read
