I was thrilled to be able to participate in the celebrations of Jill Mansell's latest novel, Should I Tell You?.

 My Thoughts

This is such a gentle, warm read. Perfect if you feel like escaping into another world for a while. The characters are all vividly drawn  and distinctive but you can actually believe in their friendships. Most of them have a secret or two which they are keeping to themselves. Not wanting to spoil the existing status quo, their instincts are to keep their thoughts to themselves. 

    I also loved the setting. It is always a good sign when the book includes a map and you can really picture the scene. Amber, Lachlan and Raffaele have all had difficult childhoods but there is a lovely message underpinning the story, that the power of love and kindness can heal the past. There are also some larger than life characters who keep you guessing a little as to their intentions which adds to the joy of the story. This is another delightful read by a skilful writer at the top of her game. Highly recommended

Jill Mansell is the author of over twenty Sunday Times bestsellers including The One You Really Want and Meet Me at Beachcomber Bay.  Take a Chance on Me won the RNA’s Romantic Comedy Prize, and in 2015 the RNA presented Jill with an outstanding achievement award. 

 

Jill started writing fiction while working in the field of Clinical Neurophysiology in the NHS, but now writes full time. She lives in Bristol with her family.
