Silver Wish Farm: After Rhett left Heath on their wedding day, things were never the same for them, but because they have a daughter, they’ve always tried their best to keep the peace. But then life changes for Heath, and he suddenly wants answers about their past and the future he believes he should have had, but will Rhett tell him the real reason she left him all those years ago?

 My Thoughts

Although a standalone, this story seems to carry on from where The Gatehouse Cafe left off. Focussing on different members of Viv and Finn's families, you are kept up to date with how life is panning out for everyone. As ever, the family rallies round and the wonderful Pepper Bay community is in evidence. 

    Heath and Rhett have known each other since they were at school and their relationship has been complicated. In some ways, they are both still nursing a broken heart. You also the contrast between Heath and Rhett's upbringing and soon realise that Rhett is carrying some secrets from her past. She has spent too long hiding her feelings and covering up what happened in her family, even from her sister. Nevertheless, she has surrounded her daughter with love and tried to give her everything she missed out on. 

   This is such an enjoyable series, with relatable characters and as ever, the gorgeous Isle of Wight as a backdrop.

In short: Is love enough?
