Lemon Drop Cottage: At first glance, Scott Harper is a shy

Dolly Lynch has just taken over her aunt’s shop in Pepper
Bay. Between looking after her teenage son, running around for her old aunt,
moving home, and opening a new shop, she barely has time to herself, so she
really appreciates the moments she spends talking online with a man she’s never
met. Little does she know he’s the same man who lives just up the road in the
cutest cottage she has ever seen.
My Thoughts
The community in Pepper Pot Bay continues to grow apace and I loved the latest in this series which revolved around Scott and Dolly. They definitely weren't run of the mill characters and I was most attracted by the great sense of humour which I felt ran throughout the story. Both Scott and Dolly have a past. Dolly is trying to build a new life for herself and her son as a single parent. Scott's past is more surprising and can't be divulged! Pepper Pot Bay offers a refuge and a healing community, full of friendship and families.
Dolly's son, Dexter, is sure to make you laugh. He is a reflection of how she has brought him off and a kind and caring boy. Being kind and generous towards others runs through the story and there is a definite respect between the generations as the retirement home comes under threat. Although you can read this as a standalone, don't miss out on the three previous books. They will fill in all sorts of gaps about the characters you meet and add to your enjoyment of a lovely series.
