A Sky Full of Stars by Fay Keenan #Review #PublicationDay

Here we are on the outskirts of Bristol for a visit to the countryside with Fay Keenan . A Sky Full of Stars is published today by Boldwood Books on March 18th. Charlotte James prefers having her head in the stars to having her feet on the ground. Moving around for her job as an astronomical archivist gives Charlotte plenty of opportunity to avoid putting down roots. When she accepts a post in the idyllic Somerset village of Lower Brambleton to archive an old observatory before its demolition, all that is on her mind is a chance to preserve the treasures of this remarkable place and another summer without having to settle down. Tristan Ashcombe is managing the development of Observatory Field and as far as he’s concerned, the sooner the observatory is razed to the ground the better. The building holds complicated memories for him and his family, memories he’s ready to put behind him. But as Charlotte’s work begins to unravel mysteries from a complex past, she realises t...

Primrose Park by Christie Barlow #Review

It is always a lovely day when we visit Love Heart Lane for another in the series and today we are headed to Primrose Park. It can be read as a standalone. You can read my review of more in the series here: Love Heart Lane, Foxglove Farm, Clover Cottage , The Lake House.

Vet Molly has always been career driven and focussed on caring for her animals, but when she meets a gorgeous Mystery Man at a conference and their connection is off the charts, well, one night off work won’t hurt anyone...except the next morning he’s vanished and all Molly knows about him is his first name.Three months later, back in Love Heart Lane, everyone loves the storyof Molly's amazing one-night stand. It's so unlike her! But when Mystery Man turns up walking his dog through Primrose Park and their night together seems to mean nothing to him, Molly needs her friends and neighbours more than ever. And especially when she’s left with the most unexpected of surprises...

My Thoughts

Visits to  Heartcross always deliver us up a great story and Primrose Park is no exception. Family and friendship are at the centre once more and as well as catching up with familiar characters, there are new ones centre stage. Molly and Cam have great chemistry from the beginning so it was no surprise when their paths crossed again.

Molly fits in beautifully alongside the others we have come to know. She is independent and determined to succeed but also kindhearted. Being a vet, she is able to stand on her own two feet and you find out that although she is alone, family does mean a lot to her. Cam seems a little harder to read at first. The feisty character of his grandmother, Dixie adds humour as of course does her four-legged friend, Darling. The setting is as gorgeous and welcoming as ever. With some great characters and bags of heart, this is another lovely read.

In short: romance blooms in Primrose Park
