The Pop - Up Cake Shop by Rosie Green #Review #LittleDuckPondCafe

Welcome to Book 39 in the Little Duck Pond Cafe series! The Pop-Up Cake Shop is the latest novella by Rosie Green.

Ever the entrepreneur, Ellie is planning to bring cakes to the people with her Travelling Cake Van! But as she’s ‘expecting’ to make a rather more personal delivery of her own very soon, will Katja be the one to get behind the wheel of this fabulously mouth-watering journey into the countryside?

 My Thoughts

Following on with Ellie's acquisition of her 'forever home', the story continues with her latest brainwave to spread the message about the Little Duck Pond Cafe and also to deal with her leftover cakes in a sustainable way. She persuades Katya to become the force behind a pop-up Cake Shop and to drive from village to village, setting up shop as she goes. This comes at just the right time for Katya who has a recent heartbreak to work through and gets her out and about. You gett to glimpse some of the neighbouring communities and to get to know a few people who live outside Sunnybrook.

As ever, romance is in the background and Katya's run -ins with a certain builder and his workers leads to a whole new set of friendships. Ellie is as supportive as you would expect, eagerly awaiting the birth of her baby. With humour and romance, this is as entertaining as others in this series and leaves you wondering just what the staff of the Little Duck Pond Cafe will do next!

In short: entertaining read
