A Merry Little Christmas   is the latest novella by Rosie Green.   Festive excitement is in the air, the tree is sparkling on the village green and Christmas music is making even the most hardened cynic feel a little sentimental – but one Little Duck Pond Café favourite is feeling anything but romantic! Is this destined to be a festive season best forgotten? Or could Katja’s dream of a merry little Christmas possibly end up coming true?   My Thoughts We are back in Sunnybrook with some familiar faces. This festive story is centred on Katya who has been working to overcome the effects os a previous relationship and the feelings of rejection she experienced at its break up. It's great to start the new year with another lovely Jessica Redland read, New Arrivals at Hedgehog Hollow.

Brand new from the top 10 bestselling author of New Beginnings at Seaside Blooms and Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow.

With new arrivals comes new responsibilities...

The sun is shining, wild flowers are blooming and Hedgehog Hollow is officially open for business.

For Samantha, the proud owner of this beautiful rescue centre, life has never been busier. But with an influx of new hogs and hoglets to take care of, not to mention a full-time job and ongoing family issues, can she accept the possibility that she has taken on more than she can handle?

Fortunately, she has the love of her life, Josh, by her side for support and encouragement. But Josh has his own family troubles to deal with. And soon he must decide if he's ready to do the one thing he swore he’d never do - forgive his father.

For both Samantha and Josh it's a season of change and for figuring out whether the past can ever truly be forgotten.

Escape back to wonderful Hedgehog Hollow with top 10 bestseller Jessica Redland for the perfect uplifting read full of love, hope and forgiveness.

 My Thoughts

The story picks up where Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow  ended and you get to see what happens next in Sam's life. At the outset, she seems to have everything she wants and needs but she soon comes to realise just how big a task she has taken on with the rescue shelter. However, she is determined to find a way through. All the ingredients of its predecessor are there, including the troubled family relationships and complicated family lives. There are some surprising developments in those and you get to see again, just how big Sam's heart is.

I also enjoyed some of the new characters who found their way into Hedgehog Hollow. Fizz is a breath of fresh air and I am hoping to see more of her in the future. The other striking feature of the story is that you are given both Sam's and Josh's viewpoints. They flow easily on throughout the story and I feel that this is successful as there is much to learn about Josh and his family in this book. At the end, you are very much left feeling that the next instalment has been nicely set up- I do hope so!

In short: Back to the area around Whitsborough Bay for a warm, uplifting story.
