A Cosy Cottage Escape by Rosie Green #Review #LittleDuckPond

 


I am delighted that it is time for another visit to the Little Duck Pond Cafe for another novella by Rosie Green. A Cosy Cottage Escape is number 30 in the series which is amazing!

 
Autumn is here and the Little Duck Pond Café crew are looking forward to spending a relaxing week in the country. That’s the theory, anyway. Because when they arrive, they quickly become immersed in village life after a power cut, only to find themselves spooked at every turn by mysterious goings-on, all of which seem to be connected to the creepy old house next-door. Is someone playing scary Hallowe’en tricks on them? Or is there something rather more sinister afoot…?

 

 My Thoughts

There is a seasonal mystery at the heart of this latest novella in the Little Duck Pond Cafe series. Some of the girls have decided to go away for a long weekend break but they end up in the middle of some spooky goings-on. You find out some more of what is happening in their personal lives. Ellie is definitely not herself and  this is soon picked up on by the friends. Jaz is fighting her feelings for a certain neighbour back home. Maddy is feeling far from romantic. However, as usual, the friends all support each other and look out for each other.

    This has been a great series so I am delighted that there are more planned. As the cast of characters grows, they seem to get included in the friendship group and I find myself wondering whether some of the people that we meet in this story, might reappear in future episodes. As usual, there is humour, a touch of mystery and some lovely romance to savour.

In short: friendships continue
