Christmas at Moonshine Hollow by Angela Britnell #Review

The festive season continues with Angela Britnell's Christmas at Moonshine Hollow.

Mistletoe and moonshine: a Christmas match made in heaven?

Moonshine Hollow’s famous ‘Lightning Flash’ might be an acquired taste, although the same could be said for moonshine distillery owner Cole Landon, what with his workaholic habits and ‘Scrooge’ tendencies when it comes to all things Christmassy.

But when Jenna Pendean from Cornwall pays a visit to Cole’s family-run distillery in Tennessee during the holiday season, will Cole’s cynicism about the existence of Christmas miracles be put to the test?

 My Thoughts

I enjoyed this Christmas visit over to Moonshine Hollow, in Tennessee. Both Jenna and Cole are strong characters and you soon discover that they have a lot in common regarding their relationships with their parents. They also have things they are keeping hidden. This is a mixture of romance and also a look at Christmas over in Tennessee. There are some lovely traditions to find out about. The Charles Dickens event must have been quite a sight. It is quite amusing how everyone oohs and aahs over Jenna's British accent.  Cole's extended family seem warm and welcoming, although his grandmother has a few reservations. She is a proper matriarch! You see quite a lot of Cole's good qualities through how he responds to his family and his employees, as well.

A gentle festive read, you do want to find out how Jenna and Cole's stories pan out. As they both find out the hard way, honesty is the best policy. There are also some sub plots which interest. Cole's distillery is in jeopardy, Debbie, his cousin, has her own relationship problems to solve and Cole's mother's second marriage has a few surprises.  This is a heart-warming romance with strong characters and a sprinkling of festive loveliness.

In short: A Tennessee Christmas
