Poppy’s Parisian Pâtisserie by Daisy James #TheBlossomwoodBaySeriesBook6 #Review

Here is your chance to check in again with the Blossomwood Bay series with Poppy's Parisian Patisserie by Daisy James .   Escape to chic and glamorous Paris! When Poppy Phillipson loses her chocolate-making business in the Blossomwood Bay fire, she’s heart-broken; all her hopes and dreams wiped out in the space of an hour. As if that wasn’t enough, her last three dates were a complete disaster – one two-hour lecture on the intricacies of the off-side rule, one no-show, and an embarrassing abandonment mid-date – and she’s having a hard time not to take it personally. So, when her brother asks her to come to the rescue of his friend Olivier Bourdain, owner of Pâtisserie Madeliene, following a freak skiing accident, she decides it’s the perfect way to escape the Devonshire drizzle and enjoy a petit sojourn from all-thing romance exploring the boutiques and boulevards of elegant Paris. Here Comes the Best Man by Angela Britnell ** Blog Tour Review**

Today we are featuring Here Comes the Best Man by Angela Britnell on the blog today. Her latest novella in the Nashville Connections series was published on 10th July.

Being the best man is a lot to live up to …

When troubled army veteran and musician Josh Robertson returns home to Nashville to be the best man at his younger brother Chad’s wedding he’s just sure that he’s going to mess it all up somehow.

But when it becomes clear that the wedding might not be going to plan, it’s up to Josh and fellow guest Louise Giles to make sure that Chad and his wife-to-be Maggie get their perfect day.

Can Josh be the best man his brother needs? And is there somebody else who is beginning to realise that Josh could be her ‘best man’ too?

My Thoughts

There is plenty to enjoy in this novella. Most of all I appreciated the cast of characters who were introduced. Anyone who has ever been connected with organising a wedding will recognise the chaos it can bring, with too many people wanting to voice their opinions on canapes and favours. It captures the ups and downs of this pre-wedding period when everyone's emotions are heightened.

I also enjoyed the contrast between the Southern charm and English reserve which gives rise to some humour, especially when discussing the two countries' customs and tastes. It is a quick, enjoyable read, with plenty of romance as Josh and Louise try to come to terms with the past.

In short: Cornwall comes to Nashville for an entertaining, romantic episode.
