The Disgraced Knight's Redemption, the third in Ella Matthews' series, The Knight's Missions, was published by Harlequin Historicals on October 23rd.    A disgraced warrior… Torn between duty and desire! Sir Tristan must win back his honor. His orders from King Edward are simple: seek out the leader of Pwll Du Castle—the unmarried Lady Catrin—and demand she leaves. As Tristan is renowned for his lethal charm and handsome looks, how can she resist? But when the beautiful Welshwoman comes under siege from her covetous neighbor, Tristan finds himself fighting for her! Yet, is it a losing battle? For securing the castle and fulfilling his knightly duty will mean letting Catrin go…  My Thoughts This medieval romance can easily be read as a standalone. A Reunion at Mulberry Lane, Rosie Clarke #BookReview #MulberryLaneSeriesBook6

Today it may still be August but here we have a brand NEW festive read from Rosie Clarkes' bestselling Mulberry Lane series, A Reunion at Mulberry Lane. It is published by Boldwood Books on 27th August.

1949

Peggy and Able Ronoscki's seaside cafe in Devon is thriving and their twins Fay and Freddie are growing up fast.

To pursue her daughter’s destiny, Fay must train in London and Peggy is faced with a dilemma of moving the family back to London once more.

Meanwhile, Peggy’s elder daughter Janet has her own troubles. She fears her husband is having an affair and Is desperately unhappy.

Peggy is torn two ways and can only hope that a reunion with her friends at Christmas can help resolve her problems.

                                                                                       My Thoughts

This is the sixth in the Mulberry Lane Series and if you have read them, you will be familiar with the main characters. If you haven't, there is a lot of detail supplied in the early chapters giving background information on everyone as they are introduced. I haven't read any of the earlier books so I was grateful for this and it helped a great deal. As the story got underway, I enjoyed finding out  about each of the characters, particularly Peggy and Abel's family.

This is set in December and billed as a festive read but it does not dominate the mood. There is plenty afoot as the different family members find that their lives are going to take a surprising turn. This family saga takes you through the ups and downs of family life. There are births and deaths to consider but it is underpinned by a real community feel and lots of period detail.

In short: Family and friends are reunited.
