Rosie's Garden of New Beginnings by Linda Corbett #Review

Rosie's Garden of New Beginning  is a delightful romance by Linda Corbett . It was published by Cavy House Press  on October 24th. Rosie Steadman needs a new start. It’s over a year since her husband died, and there must be more to life than her job in retail. When she spots an advert to rent a garden, it feels like the perfect project. Media celebrity Connor Forbes is currently lying low in his brother’s flat after a public break-up and, with job prospects drying up, finding someone to look after the overgrown garden is the least of his problems. For both Rosie and Connor, it’s a strictly business arrangement. But can they keep it that way? As Rosie gets to know the man beneath the tarnished image, she finds it harder to resist his charms, but she’s been hurt before and Connor has a reputation – can this really be a second chance at love?   My Thoughts  Rosie is looking for a change and to find what she is interested in doing. Dreaming of Tuscany by T A Williams #Review

I am absolutely delighted to be taking part in the blog tour for T A Williams' latest novel, Dreaming of Tuscany. I am a great admirer of his books and you can read my reviews of a couple here: Dreaming of Christmas |  Dreaming of Florence   |   Dreaming of St Tropez.

The glamour of Hollywood. The magic of the Tuscan countryside. One big decision...

Beatrice Kingdom (Bee to her friends) wakes up in hospital in Tuscany. After an accident on a film set leaves her burned and scarred, she feels her whole life has been turned upside down.

Bee is offered the chance of recuperating in a stunning Tuscan villa in the company of a world-famous film star, the irascible Mimi Robertson. Here amid the vines and olive groves, Bee quickly finds there’s more to the place than meets the eye, not least a certain Luca(and Romeo the dog).

As she comes to terms with her injuries and her new life takes shape, Bee will have to travel a road of self-discovery… and make a huge decision.

A joyous, funny and moving tale, Dreaming of Tuscany is a triumph, perfect for fans of Holly Martin, Tilly Tennant, and Jenny Oliver.

My Thoughts

This is another of T A Williams' books which transports you to a fabulous setting and bathes you in the sights and sounds of the area. It is a real breath of fresh air in the middle of February. Bee is a sympathetic and thoroughly likeable character who has no false pretensions. You can understand how all the people who are resident in the Tuscan hideaway respond to her and listen to what she has to say.

The Hollywood set which Bee meets are such a contrast to her down to earth attitude and there are some humorous moments which add to the warm-hearted feel. As ever, Romeo the black labrador steals the show, displaying all the typical labrador traits ( food, nap, food, walk, food). Bee manages to forge some strong friendships despite first appearances. This is a real tonic of a book full of warmth and gentle humour. I loved it.

In short: Take a trip to some Tuscan sun!
