Costa del Churros by Isabella May ** Publication Day Review & Giveaway**

I am delighted to be taking part in the Blog Tour for Isabella May's Costa del Churros which is published today. Happy Publication Day! To celebrate, there is a great International Giveaway for you to win - details on how to enter are at the foot of this post.

The rain in Spain doesn't mainly fall on the plain…

Brits abroad Belinda, Julia, Laura and Georgina need more than the sweetness of churros with chocolate dipping sauce to save them from their unsavoury states of affairs.

Cue Carmen Maria Abril de la Fuente Ferrera, the town's flamboyant flamenco teacher! But can she really be the answer to their prayers?

One thing's for sure: the Costa del Sol will never be the same again.

                                                                                     My Thoughts

I actually read this book whilst I was in Northern Spain so I lapped up the descriptions of the Spanish way of life and the sunshine! I always enjoy novels which feature a range of people whose lives become intertwined in some way and each of the characters' back stories are interesting in their own different way. This is a story which has lots of humour and engaging situations. You know that the women would not have met if they had not happened to be thrown together in the same flamenco class and their teacher's methods of getting the best out of them are certainly colourful and entertaining.

This is an ideal holiday read which I was always keen to pick up again. Despite so many story strands to keep track of, the pace of the novel kept the momentum going and my interest in what everyone was getting up to, did not waver. I read it as a standalone but I believe that one of the characters, Georgina, features in Isabella's second novel, The Cocktail Bar and there is an opportunity to win a signed copy in the Giveaway (details below).

In short: romance under the Spanish sun.

                                                                             About the Author

Isabella May lives in (mostly) sunny Andalucia, Spain with her husband, daughter and son, creatively inspired by the sea and the mountains. When she isn’t having her cake and eating it, sampling a new cocktail on the beach, or ferrying her children to and from after school activities, she can usually be found writing. As a co-founder and a former contributing writer for the popular online women’s magazine, The Glass House Girls – www.theglasshousegirls.com – she has also been lucky enough to subject the digital world to her other favourite pastimes, travel, the Law of Attraction, and Prince (The Purple One). She has recently become a Book Fairy, and is having lots of fun with her imaginative ‘drops’!
Costa del Churros is her third novel with Crooked Cat Books, following on from the hit sensations, Oh! What a Pavlova and The Cocktail Bar
You will be able to read my review of Oh! What a Pavlova on October 13th 2018.
