Discover
the truth of The Triplet Orphans in the final instalment of this
compelling Cinderella trilogy!
The key to unlocking Cinderella’s past…
The enigmatic earl?
For Miss Anna Lennox, a house party hosted by the Earl of Garvald is a timely
distraction from uncovering the truth about her past. And a chance to indulge
her secret tendre for him! She can’t
escape her quest for long after discovering the earl’s castle was once her home
and he was her playmate as an infant! With so many unanswered questions about
her past, is there room for Anna to explore her attraction to the earl and discover
if her feelings for him are anything more than rekindled friendship?
My Thoughts
It is always satisfying to finish a trilogy and find that all the outstanding questions have been answered and to see how each of the sisters sees their future panning out. The three sisters are as close as ever and despite finding out some of their family history, there is still room for some revelations in Anna's story. Although triplets, each sister has a distinct personality. Anna, the oldest, has always looked out for her siblings and seems level headed but determined. She does not shrink from putting herself in danger and is fiercely protective of those she loves.
You realise early on that the Earl in question knows more than first appears and has a motive for holding the stay at his country seat. He too has a strong sense of his place in society and his responsibility to those in his care. There are plenty of period details in the story to capture the air of the times. Add to that, some lively characters and fellow invitees and there is room for humour, seen through Anna's eyes. As secrets from the past are unburied, there are several who find their lives in crisis.
In short: romantic but lively storytelling
