Celebrating the 25 novels by Sue Moorcroft: Starting Over #Middledip #Giveaway

Today I am thrilled to be on the first day of an amazing tour to celebrate Sue Moorcroft's fabulous fiction. A Skye Full of Stars, her latest novel, is her 25th published book ! Over the next few weeks, you are going to be treated to a reminder of all those great novels and it is my honour to start the ball rolling with the first in the Middledip series : Starting Over .                    Tess Riddell has just been dumped. By her fiancé. Via email. Her life has been torn apart and she’s left to pick up the pieces. Alone. It’s time for a new start where nobody knows her. And Tess can’t imagine anywhere better than Honeybun Cottage in the peaceful village of Middledip. But life has other plans. She crashes — quite literally — into a handsome stranger down a winding country lane. Tess and Miles definitely don’t hit it off, though. He’s a fun-loving charmer, and Tess needs some stability right now. So no one is as shocked as she is when an unlikely friendship blossoms b

Long Time No Sea by Portia Macintosh #Review

It is a real pleasure to be on the tour for Portia Macintosh's latest romcom, Long Time No Sea. It was published by Boldwood Books on 6th July.

There’s trouble in paradise...

Moving home in her 30s was not the life plan Jas had in mind. So when her best friend gets in touch to say she's arranging a long overdue reunion with their high school friends, Jas is very much up for the escape. Oh, and it's all expenses paid to Italy - so that's a bonus!

But while being whisked away to the beautiful Italian coast may seem idyllic, Jas has to come face to face with not only her ex-boyfriend, but the one that got away too!

It's a week of sun, sea and unravelling secrets, and as the love triangle from the past starts to develop once again, this trip is not panning out exactly as Jas imagines...

Should the past be left where it is, or could there be a second chance at love on the horizon..?

Join top 10 bestseller Portia MacIntosh for a sun-drenched, laugh-out-loud love triangle romantic comedy!

 My Thoughts

When a group of friends from school are reunited, they fall back into their relationships easily. There are a few issues from the old days to work through but by and large, all the dynamics between them all have survived and there is plenty of unfinished business to work through.  This is a light hearted and entertaining read throughout with plenty of laugh out loud moments.

Friendship is very much at the centre of the story. The group’s relationship with Clarky is the most interesting as they all can see how irritating his behaviour is and yet they accept him, warts and all, just as they did when he joined the school years ago. In a way, friendship emerges as a non judgmental thing although Clarky’s actions push its limits to the edge. Jas finds herself back in a love triangle just as she was in her teens and has to decide how to make her feelings clear. Humour runs through every page and makes for an enjoyable read from the very start.

In short: friends and lovers reunited
