I am thrilled that it is time for another visit to the Little Duck Pond Cafe for another novella by Rosie Green. Clara's Christmas Magic is number 25 in the series - can you believe it? This is the third of  three novellas which tell Clara's story. You can  read my review of the first two here:  Clara's Secret Garden, A Winter Wish

 
The festive season is fast approaching but with the challenges facing Clara, it looks like being anything but the most wonderful time of the year. Can she somehow find the strength to meet those challenges head-on and find her way to the perfect, happy-ever-after Christmas?


My Thoughts

It is certainly true that you are advised to read the first two in this trilogy if you are going to enjoy this one to the utmost. You will understand more about the characters and how they all interact together. In particular, you will understand Clara's character much more and why she makes the decisions she does concerning Rory. You travel outside Sunnybrook in this story to the USA and Clara gets to spend time away from her family. She is a loyal and dependable character who has always put others before herself. For part of this story,you are willing her to be a little bit selfish!

    This is a satisfying end to the trilogy and I hope that in future stories, we get to see how Clara's family are getting on. I am also hoping that the new friends she made in New York might just turn up as well! With all the hallmark warmth and friendship we are used to, the series matches on!

 

In short: family and friendship are at the heart of this romance

Rosie’s series of novellas is centred around life in a country village cafe. ‘Clara’s Christmas Magic’ is Book 3 in a trilogy about Clara. It would make for the best reading experience if you caught up with the others first: Book 1, ‘Clara’s Secret Garden’ and Book 2 in the trio, ‘A Winter Wish’.
