With her confidence shattered, even leaving the house is scary, and a promising romance with gorgeous Logan is over before it even has a chance to begin. But cheered on by her dad and her great friend, Madison, she makes a decision that could change everything. Can Martha find the courage to step out into the world and love again?


 My Thoughts

With an ever- increasing cast of characters, the Little Duck Pond series is as welcoming as ever. This time, we get to read Martha's story who is linked to the earlier characters through Madison. A bit of a romantic and aspiring writer, Martha seems to be on the brink of success when a terrible accident brings her some dreadful circumstances. Having lost her confidence, you see her trying to regain her belief in herself and to re-build her life. 

    The Swan Hotel in Sunnybrook is the setting for much of the story and Martha meets some lively characters there. In addition, we catch up with Primrose and Sam who have had a beautiful baby boy. Martha finds that Primrose's difficulties resonate with how her mother was when she was a baby and once again, friendships are very important in this close-knit community. 

In short: friendships flourish in this gentle romance
