My Thoughts
This festive romcom is full of the Christmas spirit and takes you to New York. Evie and Noah both have their own reasons for leaving the UK and travelling to New York. Once there, they are persuaded to take part in a fake romance against their better judgement. The story is full of romance tropes, with a grumpy - sunshine storyline. As the two of them are compelled to go on fake dates, you find out more about their characters and personalities. New York stands proud in all its Christmas glory as it shimmers and dazzles.
There are some genuinely funny moments in the story as two central characters get to know each other. They become genuine friends although the underlying chemistry is always there. I also enjoyed the people they meet in the hotel, both staff and guests who become friends with them also. This is truly an escapist read and a great start to what promises to be a festive series.
In short: New York, New York
