The One Before The One by Emma Cooper #Review

Today I am delighted to be featuring Emma Cooper's The One Before The One on the blog.

Liv is given the chance to live one life-changing week over, but can she change her future...? And does she want to? A gorgeous, uplifting novel, perfect for fans of Shari Low, Paige Toon and Beth Moran.

When Liv’s boyfriend Kit disappeared on a hike, seven years earlier, she thought her life was over. But with the help of their family and friends, she’s pushed her way through the grief, and now, miraculously, she's found a way to love again.

Until the morning of her wedding, when Liv steps through a doorway, and finds herself, somehow, back at the flat she shared with Kit: seven years earlier, six days before he left. Now, Liv has a chance to live those six days over, and change everything. If she gets this right, she can find out why Kit leaves and stop him.

But can she save him? And if she does, how will she choose, between the man she loved then, and the one she loves now?

 My Thoughts

This is an interesting read which takes Liv back in time to relive the days leading up to her then partner's disappearance. You also know that life has become complicated for her as she has started a relationship with Kit's brother, James,  and is about to marry him. The hint that Kit may not be dead as thought, has plunged Liv into a mass of confusion and she has to come to terms with how she feels about the two brothers. It is obvious how different the brothers are. She also seems to have the opportunity to change or at least understand Kit's fate. Family and relationships are interrelated in this romance.

You also follow what happens in the days after Liv's journeys back into the past and see how the present is working out. There are some big surprises. This is an entertaining read with a touch of humour found in Liv's reactions and you are never quite sure how it is going to work out for everyone although it does provide some surprising explanations.

In short: time travel and romance
