  I am delighted to be on the tour to celebrate the latest romcom by R achel Dove,   Don't You Want Mr Baby? which was published by  Boldwood Books on 15th November .    Amber Fitzpatrick is about to hit thirty and has achieved none of the things she hoped to have done by now. Her dreams of owning her own business seem out of reach. Her boyfriend has just dumped her and now her biological clock is clanging in her head. But maybe Amber doesn’t need a man for the next stage of her life? Maybe as an independent woman she can have a baby all by herself? There’s only one problem. Handsome but excruciatingly annoying best friend Tyler Williams. Tyler thinks Amber’s motherhood plans are plain crazy! A Villa with a View by Julie Caplin #Review #RomanticEscapesBook 11

 

Today I am delighted to be featuring the eleventh in Julie Caplin's Romantic Escapes series : A Villa with a View.  It was published  by One More Chapter on February 29th.

Lia Bathurst had always dreamed of escaping to the white sandy beaches and turquoise blue seas of the Amalfi coast – but that dream hadn’t included meeting her real father. A father she had never even known about until a few weeks ago! Yet here she was, standing outside the gates of a gorgeous pink villa being refused entry by the insufferable – and insufferably handsome – Raphael Knight, her father’s business manager.

When an old black and white photo proves Lia’s claim to be true, Raph is determined to make sure this stranger, with her long caramel waves and infectious smile, doesn’t have an ulterior motive. Even if that means not letting her out of his sight.

As temperatures rise, and not just from the heat of the Mediterranean sun, could Lia and Raph’s forced proximity lead to something more like… amore?


 My Thoughts
The beautiful Amalfi coast dominates the story and takes you away to a place full of gorgeous sights and sunshine. Lia finds herself there on a curious quest to establish whether her biological father lives there, having found out in a shocking revelation.  Raph is dubious about the authenticity of her claims so from the start there is friction. you do get the impression however, that Lia enjoys their verbal sparring and that there is an element of chemistry sizzling away in the background. 
 
    I enjoyed finding out that many of the characters, Lia included, were not as they appeared at first sight. You can't make assumptions about any of them and together, the cast makes for a lively bunch. Lia also has some things to sort out with the family who brought her up. She has been so confused as to where she now fits in within the family. Her relationships with her parents and her sister have taken a massive shift to the side. Family and secrets from the past form a large part of this story which is a real opportunity to escape to Italy amidst the last few weeks of Winter. 
In short: interesting characters and a gorgeous setting
