 My Thoughts

This is a fun and lighthearted read and a gentle romance. You are introduced to the idyllic Cozy Cove which has the sort of tight- knit community where everyone knows everyone else. They all keep an eye out for each other. Beth is an independent young woman who is trying to protect herself from heartbreak following a difficult break up. She is fully committed to living in Cozy Cove and runs a wonderful sounding candle shop where she mixes together some amazing scents to put in her beautiful candles. She puts all her energy into the shop but sometimes wonders whether she is liniting herself, staying in her safe place. Her friends are all supportive of her.

Enter Jacob, a kind and gentlemanly travel journalist who has been tiring of his itinerant lifestyle. He recognises in Cozy Cove, a real community which is very attractive to him as he wonders if he is ready to put down roots. His friendship with Beth develops quickly and it is obvious that romance could be on the cards, if they can both decide exactly what they want for their futures.

This is an appealing setting for such a gentle love story which leaves you wondering what the stories could be for a few other inhabitants.

In short: sun, sea, romance
