Today we have the ultimate in feelgood romances, The Cottage of New Beginnings by Suzanne Snow.

My Thoughts

 This is a feelgood and wholesome story which follows Annie and Jon as they meet and get to know each other. I liked the setting very much and could see that there are plenty of secondary characters to get to know. Annie is trying to start again after heartbreak and in many ways, looking to her new life in the cottage to heal her self and build a new life. Jon  is very much in hero mould but he has some interesting aspects, such as his social conscious and desire to educate young people and give them a second chance. In fact, new beginnings as the title suggests, runs through the story.

    I notice that this is the first in  the Thorndale series and I can see that there are enough loose ends at the end to take you seamlessly into a second book. There are plenty of characters whose stories could be developed and I am sure that there is farther to go with Annie and Jon. This is a gentle story which leaves you with a smile on your face.

In short: Starting over.
