Today we welcome Helen Fitzgerald  for her latest novel, Worst Case Scenario.

My Thoughts

 The whole tone of this book is one of black humour. It is gritty and irreverent and the main charcater of Mary has so much to offer. You can sympathise with her as she reaches the end of her career with just a short time left. Suddenly she is free to say just what she thinks.

    To have a middle aged woman as your main character is unusual but Mary hold your interest. Her life is chaotic and you hold your breath as to what is going to happen next. This is a dark but still funny book which is unlike any you have probably come across. 

In short: What will happen next? With Mary you are not sure!
 
 About the Author 




Helen FitzGerald is the bestselling author of ten adult and young adult thrillers, including The Donor (2011) and The Cry (2013), which was longlisted for the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year, and is now a major drama for BBC1. Helen worked as a criminal justice social worker for over fifteen years. She grew up in Victoria, Australia. She now lives in Glasgow with her husband.
