Disturbing Works Volume One by Jon Richter ** Blog Tour Review & Giveaway**

It is great to be able to take part in the first day of the blog tour to celebrate the launch of Jon Richter's Disturbing Works Volume One. There is also the chance to enter a Giveaway to win an e-copy of the book (open internationally). Details on how to enter are at the end of this post.

Here's what Jon has to say about his latest work:

The first volume of my Disturbing Works is a collection of twelve twisted tales perfect for people who like their stories dark, despicable, and deeply unsettling.  Containing fantasy, sci-fi, dark humour and a lot of deliciously nasty horror, it should have something for every reader that has a sinister side and nerves of steel…

This chilling volume (along with my first novel, Deadly Burial) is available now for your Kindle or eReader at https://www.amazon.co.uk/kindle

 My Thoughts

If you enjoy tales with a great dollop of horror and deeply unsettling images, you will love this collection of short stories. This is a book |I have had to read in instalments as each story is dark and chilling. I thought the visuals for the cover summed up perfectly the unsettled and troubled tone with the very word, 'disturbing' written in a disjointed way.

I found the story entitled 'Infestation' to be the one which worried me the most! Who would have thought that such a banal setting would become so terrifying for the outsider, Arjana? Another story to pick out is 'The Execs'. I liked the range of characters and seeing just how far people would go to gain a prize in their career. There is a seam of humour mixed in with the horror.

There is a real variety in the stories, each one an individual in tone and content. I notice this is Volume One- just where will Jon's imagination take us next?

In short: dark, troubling and horrifying - not for the faint hearted.
