My Thoughts

This is a lovely, entertaining read with genuinely likeable characters and a relatable plot.  I read this as a standalone and it was fine but I did hanker after reading the first in the series, just to fill in some of the blanks. I loved the friendship between Lisa and Felicity. They both have distinct personalities and lives but are thoroughly credible as best friends.

    Friendship and family values, some jealous moments to prove they are human and a few humorous episodes add up to a heart-warming and enjoyable read. I even enjoyed some of the children's asides and comments which made sure that all the adults kept their feet on the ground. There are several strong male characters who add to the romance without being too stereotypical. With an easy writing style. this is a great book to settle down for a weekend read.

In short: Friendship warms the heart in this contemporary romance.

Carol Thomas lives on the south coast of England with her
husband, four children and lively young Labrador. She has been a playgroup supervisor and taught in primary schools for over fifteen years, before dedicating more of her time to writing. Carol is a regular volunteer at her local Cancer Research UK shop. She has a passion for reading, writing and people watching and can often be found loitering in local cafes working on her next book.

Carol writes contemporary romance novels, with relatable heroines whose stories are layered with emotion, sprinkled with laughter and topped with irresistible male leads.
